Greer Ellison is flutist with the California Symphony. She teaches on the faculty at the University of California
in Santa Cruz and privately in Palo Alto. Ms. Greer freelances in both modern and baroque instrumental
ensembles in the Bay Area. She has taught in several university positions throughout the country and holds
degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory and University of Michigan as well as two degrees from conservatories
in Europe. She was principal flutist with the Portland Baroque Orchestra for 10 years. In 2010, she completed
her Alexander Technique teacher training at the Northern California Center for the Alexander Technique in
Redwood City. She has just accepted an Alexander Technique teaching position at Avenidas Senior Day Center
in Palo Alto. It is in sharing this work with others that Ms. Greer has found tremendous satisfaction.
